Dr. Tim Ward, a member of the REQUITE Patient Advisory Group, finished the Greater Manchester Marathon on the 10th of April this year. He ran the Marathon with a charity close to his heart: the PRDA, Pelvic Radiation Disease Association, a charity formed of volunteer patients, carers and health professionals who want to help people who are suffering from problems after pelvic radiotherapy - most common in rectal, gynaecological, bladder and prostate cancer patients. The PRDA works for wider recognition and treatment of pelvic radiation disease within the NHS nationally. Tim Ward wants to thank everyone for the support and donations:
"Dear Requite members, thank you so much for supporting my Marathon run earlier this year. Myself and the PRDA are extremely grateful for all the contributions made to my charity page. To date with tax relief I have raised £1,123.-- (€ 1.454,--).
